What are cookies?

The EU Directive 2009/136/EC (e-Privacy) regulates the use of cookies on websites. This was implemented on May 25, 2012 in Italy. A cookie is a short snippet of text that is sent to your browser by a website you visit. It stores information about your last visit, such as your preferred language or other settings.

Cookies are divided into two main groups:

  1. Technical cookies: These contain data to enable the functioning of the website and the services requested by the user, such as navigation or login features. Without these cookies, parts of the website will not work properly.
  2. Profiling cookies: These are used to record the navigation of the user on the Internet and to create a profile of the interests, habits and decisions of the user. Such cookies may be used to display advertisements or products that may interest you.

How do we use cookies?
